Plain-language summary (the full terms below govern): Score My Car gives you a free, automated collector grade for a car you describe. It is an opinion produced by software from what you provide — not an appraisal, inspection, valuation or offer to buy. Don't upload what you don't have the right to share. By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Score My Car ("we", "us") is operated by RK Motors, LLC, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA ("the operator"). Questions about these terms: hello@scoremycar.ai.
2. What the service is
You submit a description of a vehicle, optional supporting files, your name and your email address. After you confirm your email with a code, an automated system reads what you provided, researches the vehicle model, and produces a score on a 100-point index, a grade band and a written rationale ("the result"). The scoring rubric weights ten categories; you can read them on the home page.
3. What the result is — and is not
- The result is an automated opinion generated by artificial-intelligence software from the information you supply and from public sources. It has not been reviewed by a person unless we tell you otherwise.
- It is not an appraisal, a valuation, a condition report, an inspection, a certificate of authenticity, or advice of any kind. It does not state or imply a price, and it is not an offer to buy, sell or list your vehicle.
- The result depends entirely on what you provide. Incomplete, inaccurate or unverifiable information produces a lower or less reliable result. We do not verify your submission against the physical vehicle.
- We may change the rubric, the weights, the bands and the scoring method at any time. A result reflects the method in use when it was produced; the same car may score differently later.
4. Your submission
- You confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to submit it, and that you have the right to share every file you upload.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and transmit your submission (including to our service providers) for the purposes of producing the result, operating and improving the service, and, where your score meets our threshold, contacting you about the vehicle. This licence ends when the material is deleted under our Privacy Policy, except for records we must keep by law.
- Do not upload material that is unlawful, infringes anyone's rights, contains other people's personal information (redact names and addresses on documents that are not yours), or is unrelated to the vehicle.
- You must be 18 or older to use the service.
5. Fair use of the service
The service is free for personal, non-commercial use. We limit how many submissions an email address or connection can make in a day, and how many cars we score in total each day. Do not use automated tools to submit, do not attempt to defeat the bot check or the limits, and do not use the service to scrape, benchmark or reverse-engineer the scoring method. We may refuse, delay or remove any submission at our discretion.
6. Follow-up about your vehicle
If your vehicle's score meets the threshold shown on the home page, a dealer partner (the operator or an affiliate) may contact you at the email address you provided to ask whether you would consider selling or consigning it. You can decline or ask not to be contacted again by replying, and nothing about the result obliges you to do anything.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service and every result are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator and its affiliates, officers, employees and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, opportunity or value, arising from the service or any reliance on a result. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places these limits apply to the extent permitted.
8. Intellectual property
The site, the rubric, the scoring method and the written results are ours or our licensors'. You may share the private link to your own result and quote it with attribution to Score My Car. You may not present a result as an appraisal or as endorsed by us.
9. Changes and termination
We may change these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date; continued use after that date is acceptance. We may suspend or end the service at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
